Admission Criteria of G.N.M.

Admission Eligibility

  • 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination and in English individually from any recognized board.
  • Candidates from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government are also eligible.
  • Preference will be given to candidates from Science stream.
  • 10+2 with English having minimum 40% marks in Vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  • 10+2 with English having minimum 40% marks in Vocational Stream – Health Care Science from a recognized CBSE board/centre.
  • Registered ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) with pass mark is eligible.
  • Students must be medically fit.
  • Minimum age for admission is 17 years (as on 31st December of that year).
  • Upper age limit is 35 years. For ANM/LHV candidates, there is no age bar.

For disabled candidates:

  • 3% disability reservation will be considered for candidates with loco-motor disability of 40% to 50% in the lower extremity.
  • Other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will remain the same as prescribed for each nursing programme.
  • Note:
    A committee consisting of a medical officer authorized by the State Government’s medical board and a nursing expert will decide whether the candidate has loco-motor disability of 40% to 50%.
  • A relaxation of 5% in marks is applicable for SC/ST candidates.
  • Other quotas shall apply as per the State Government’s reservation policy.
  • All quotas will be included within the sanctioned seats and not in addition to them.
  • Candidates shall be selected based on counseling conducted by the Rajasthan Nursing Council (RNC).
  • The duration of the course shall be three years.
